Alice Scott Freeman went to her eternal sleep on December 23, 2021 and
now in the care of our Creator until the time of resurrection . She was born on June 19,
1928 to Cinda Hill and James Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cinda Hill and James Scott and
two sons, John Allen Bear and Ivan Eugene Bear. She was the youngest of eight
children, all of her siblings preceded her in death. Her brothers and sisters were
Amanda Deer, Edmond Rabbit, Joseph Factor, Walter Factor, Rose Fields Johnson,
Lizzie Roberts and Wiley (Bill) Sampson.
She had ten children: Janie Bear of Okmulgee, Rosanna Bear of Okmulgee,
John Bear (who preceded her in death), Ivan Bear (who preceded her in death),
Lucinda Roberts of Okmulgee. Samuel Sandy Roberts of Morris. Nakina Leybas of
Okmulgee, Verna Burnside Factor of Okmulgee, Alicia Burnside of Okmulgee, and
Ronnie Burnside of Seminole, Oklahoma. She had many, many Grandchildren,
Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Alice was a devoted Jehovah's Witness since 1969 and belonged to the local Kingdom Hall in
Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She retired from the Oklahoma State Department of Health after working in the
Chronic Disease Department for over 20 years in 1993.
Alice was a devoted, loving, and caring Mother to all of her ten children but also
loved and cared for her grandchildren and great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews, and several neighborhood children.
Alice always had a houseful of children in her home. She always checked on her
children, even after they were grown and always said
"you'll always be my babies!"
