Aj Mason

AJ Mason, 87, went to heaven August 21, 2022. He was born in Priddy, Texas on December 12, 1934 to George and Olga Mason. He had a brother, Charles Mason.

AJ graduated with a Bachelor's degree and worked as a Landman in the oil and gas business.

AJ met his wife, Janet Wells Mason, while in high school in Clovis, New Mexico. They married on August 23, 1956. They had four daughters: Sherry Giles (married to Tom), Carrie McKay (married to Fred), Diana Wright , and Kristie Sullivan (married to Glenn). They lived in El Paso, Midland, Amarillo, and the Tulsa area.

AJ had six grandchildren: Tonya Giles, Seth Giles (married to Taylor), Jacey Wright, Mason Wright, Payton Sullivan, and Shay Sullivan. He had three great grandchildren.

AJ was an intelligent, caring, and fun loving husband and father. AJ played basketball, tennis, golf, and loved to fish and garden. He enjoyed wood working, crossword puzzles, and cards/bunco.

AJ was an excellent role model to so many friends and family members. He helped many people during hardships in their life as well as being a great neighbor.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, granddaughter, and wife.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 27, 2022 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel, 719 East 141st Street, Glenpool, Oklahoma, with Pastor Terry Armstrong officiating.
