Lavon Jobe

June 9, 1933 — February 3, 2025

Agnes "Lavon" Jobe, affectionately known as Mimi, entered heavenly paradise Monday, February 3, 2025. Born on June 9, 1933, in Boothe, Arkansas, Lavon spent her formative years there before claiming Mannford as her true hometown. She was a pillar of strength and love within her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity.

Lavon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Jobe, as well as her son Clyde, youngest daughter Reba, brother Jimmy who awaited her in heaven. She is survived by her cherished siblings Perry and Charm, devoted oldest daughter, Sherrie. Lavon was a proud grandmother to Kari, Matthew and his wife Allie, Adam and his wife Amanda, and Brad, and a delighted great-grandmother to Kaleb, Kaden, Adira, Annora, Aleena, and Alyona. To her family, she was lovingly known as "Mimi."

A faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church for over 30 years, Lavon contributed her time and talents as part of the newsletter team, sharing her warmth and spirit with the congregation. She was a passionate traveler, always eager to visit family and embark on new adventures. Her love for fishing and engaging conversations brought joy to those around her. Lavon's home was a welcoming haven, where she always had a fresh cup of coffee ready for guests, embodying her values of generosity and understanding.

In addition to her community and family involvement, Lavon was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, embracing life with a spirited attitude and a sense of fun.

Lavon will be dearly missed by her family and friends, whose lives she touched with her unwavering love and kindness. Her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her.

Service Information:

A celebration of life for Lavon will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Faith United Methodist Church, (7431 E 91st St, Tulsa, OK 74133).
