Agatha Lee Clark

Agatha Lee Clark, 97, a lifelong resident of Midwest City, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord & Savior on September 8, 2020. She was born October 23, 1922 in OKC, OK to James Earl & Bernice Robbins. Lee was the oldest of three girls all growing up in the Capitol Hill area. After graduating from Capitol Hill H.S. Class of 1941, Lee married Tommie Lee Clark on April 18, 1942 at Lambuth United Methodist Church. Just months after their wedding; Tom enlisted in the Navy and shipped out to the Pacific for two years and later served in Korea while Lee worked at Kress’s, Penney’s and Kerr’s Department Stores. The couple moved to Midwest City, OK in 1947 and Lee began work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. before starting their family in 1949. Lee finished her career working for Mid-Del Public Schools in the 1960s.She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother of three, grandmother, and friend. She and Tom were members of Wickline United Methodist Church before relocating to Collinsville, OK in 2016 where they attended Meadow Creek United Methodist Church. She loved traveling, camping, spending time with her grandchildren, and walking with their friends at Heritage Park Mall. They had a loving marriage and life together that lasted 77 years. Lee never met a stranger, as evident from her long list of Christmas card recipients. Lee was known for her never-ending positive outlook, hugs, and welcoming personality. Despite multiple cancer diagnosis and family tragedies, Lee remained an ever-faithful servant of God, sharing her testimony with everyone she encountered. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; husband, Tommie “Tom” Clark on August 15, 2019; daughter Kimberly Kay Clark; and great-granddaughter Sadie Rose Sisemore.Lee leaves cherished memories with her son Dale Allen and his wife Ila and son Donald Martin and his wife Yvonne, five grandchildren; Chris M. McKay, Cari M. Flurry and husband Blaine, Lorri Dawn Sisemore and husband Stephen, Taylor Allen Clark and wife Sarah Anne and Kevin Michael Clark, seven great-grandchildren; Dylan G. McKay, Berlin R. Flurry, Audrey Lynne Clark, Easton Allen Clark, Karli Sophia Clark, Vera Hope Sisemore, and Ruby Lee Sisemore.A social distance graveside service will be held at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Midwest City, Oklahoma on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1pm.In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to the Kimberly Kay Clark Scholarship Fund through the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, https://donate.occf.org.
