William Charles Mitchell

Our beloved "Ging", age 89, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on August 6, 2016. He joined in heaven his wife of 67 years, Doris J. Mitchell.

Born November 8, 1926 in Clarence, Missouri to Charles Wilbert and Virginia Margaret (Sherman) Mitchell. Charles graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and attended Central State University in Edmond.

Charles was a Marine from July 1943 to February 1946 and was in the US Army National Guard from September 1950 to April 1952. He was an entrepreneur enjoying many businesses throughout his life, while also serving for and retiring from The Tulsa Fire Dept in 1976.

He is survived by his two daughters: Debbie Campbell and her husband, Ron and Brenda Kayser and her husband, Ridge; four grandchildren: Ron and his wife, Becky; Jenny and her husband, Brennan; Michael and his wife, Melinda; Melissa and her husband, Tyler; eight great grandchildren: Parker, Sarah, Alex, Aidan, Matthew, McKinly, Jackson and Mallory and two sisters: JoAnne Craig and Jacqueline Lewis.

A viewing will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 PM, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service, Tulsa. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM, on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel .
