Roy David Choate

David Roy Choate of Tulsa, Oklahoma, age 72, died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM in the chapel of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service. Celebration of life services are pending.

Mr. Choate was born in Lapeer, Michigan, on June 13, 1949; the son of William and Delores Choate. He was raised in Michigan but had lived in the Tulsa area for the past 31 years. He married Catherine Waite on March 9, 1968, in Fairgrove, Michigan. They were married for 53 years.

He was last employed at Alorica- Energy in Tulsa. He graduated high school in Caro, Michigan. He enjoyed model trains, reading and politics. He attended Home Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Where his passion in life was leading others to Christ and in serving his Lord.

His surviving family members are: Catherine; two sons: Roderick Choate and his wife Michelle, and Peter Choate and Rebecca, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter: Heidi Evans and Lawrence Evans, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren: Brayden, Dustin, Cullen, Brooke, Isaac, Arwen, Orien, Emmalee, and Joshua; three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Ana, and Donnovan; two brothers: Jerry Choate of Frankenmuth, Michigan, Bill Choate of Davison, Michigan; one sister: Nita Petiprin and Chris Petiprin, of Caro, Michigan; two nephews and five nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father; William Choate, and his mother, Delores Choate.
