Robert Wayne Helms

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Robert Wayne Helms will be 2:00pm Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at NewSpring Family Church in Jenks. Mr. Helms will be laid to rest at the Calvary Cemetery. A visitation will be 5:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service. Robert Wayne Helms, known as Bob, passed away on December 7, 2018 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, he was 81.

Bob was the 4th of 5 children born to Ben and Florence Helms in Meeker Oklahoma on June 24th 1937. He graduated from Meeker High School, and enlisted in the Army in 1957. On October 24th 1958 he married Carolyn Hamilton and their 60 year marriage produced 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

After a 35 year career with Oklahoma Gas & Electric, he retired and began a second career as a real estate broker in Sapulpa Oklahoma. In addition, he was active and involved in numerous civic organizations, including Creek County Industrial Authority.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Sapulpa Oklahoma, sons Derek of Dallas Texas, Lance of Cairns Australia, and Cole of Panama City Panama, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
