Mary Sue Wasson

Mary "Sue" (Baker) Wasson age 74 passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at Maplewood Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family members. Sue was born December 27, 1936 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Wallace Baker and Mabel E. (Stockton) Baker. She graduated from Jenks High School in 1955. Sue married James Albert Wasson on July 27, 1956 . She worked as a secretary for Oral Roberts University for nineteen years before retiring in 1989. In her early years Sue enjoyed traveling, going to garage sales, cooking, but most of all she enjoyed her church and loved spending time with her family. Sue was a member of River Oaks Christian Church in Jenks, Oklahoma. Sue was preceded in death by her parents: Wallace and Mabel Baker and her daughter: Debra Sue Wasson-Waters. Sue is survived by her husband: James Wasson of Jenks, Oklahoma; her son: Jimmy Wasson and his wife Mindy of Broken Arrow; her brother: Joe Baker and his wife Zella of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; four grandsons: Michael Waters of Jenks, Oklahoma; Chad Wasson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Sean Wasson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Rider Matlock of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two granddaughters: Morgan Matlock of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Taylor Matlockof Broken Arrow, Oklahoma along with many nieces, nephews other family members and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at River Oaks Christian Church, 300 N. Elm, Jenks, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Reverend Harold Phillips will officiate. Pallbearers are: Jimmy Wasson, Chad Wasson, Sean Wasson, Larry Wasson, Michael Waters and Joe Baker. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C.
