Kathleen Ann Hogan went home to her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2018, at the age of 71. Sister of Brian (Nancy) Krueger and loving mom of Shaun (Roberta) Gleason and Kevin (Mary) Gleason; step-children Amy (Joel) Treffert, John Jr. (Michelle) Hogan, and Andrew Hogan. Kathleen is further survived by her grandchildren, Joel Gleason, Jonathan Gleason, Jason Gleason, Kara (Landon) Wiland, Rebecca Gleason, Kathryn Gleason, Sam Treffert, Josh Treffert, Annalise Treffert, Matthew Hogan, Lydia Hogan, Alexander Hogan, Liam Hogan, Jack Hogan, Kiara Hogan, Seamus Hogan, Anais Hogan, Stella Hogan, and Audrey Hogan; great-grandchild Charles Wiland; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband Joel Gleason, second husband John Hogan, and her parents Edward and Ruth Krueger.
Kathleen Hogan was born on December 1, 1946, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Washington High School. Shortly after graduation she married the first love of her life, Joel Gleason, and within a few years they had two sons, Shaun and Kevin. In 1983, Kathleen and her family packed up and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where her brother resided with his family, wife Nancy, son Keith and daughter Karen. Soon after Joel passed away in 1988, Kathleen moved back to Wisconsin and later met and married the second love of her life, John Hogan. Kathleen will always be remembered for so many exceptional qualities. She always showed love and grace to everyone, had a servant’s heart, perfected the art of giving, had an infectious laugh (usually premeditated by laughing at herself), always knew how to have too much food at get-togethers (which often included dozens of donuts and gallons of Dibs frozen ice cream treats), enjoyed bragging about “us seniors”, and was a loyal fan of America’s team, the Green Bay Packers. The last few years, Kathleen focused all of her love and attention on her family (mainly her grandchildren) and great friends, including her Bible Study group. Her strength and courage were an inspiration to those around her. Kathleen will truly be remembered for her faith and trust in God, and we can all be comforted in knowing the peace and comfort that now surrounds her.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
