Jose Luz Gonzalez

Jose Luz Gonzalez, a hard working mechanic and resident of Tulsa, OK, died of a sudden cardiac arrest while battling pneumonia on February 14, 2022 at the age of 55 while at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Jose survived by his parents Angela Araujo Nava and J.Luz Gonzalez Avila; his wife, Bertha Maria Gonzalez; his children, Angie Darinka Gonzalez, Luz Felipe Gonzalez, and Genesis Kenddra Gonzalez; and his siblings, Miguel Gonzalez Araujo, Teresa Gonzalez Araujo, Cristina Gonzalez Araujo, Felipe Gonzalez Araujo, Beatriz Gonzalez Araujo, Ortencia Gonzalez Araujo, and Ageda Gonzalez Araujo.

Jose was born in San Nicolas De Los Agustinos in Salvatierra, Gto. Mexico on November 22, 1966 to Angela Araujo Nava and J.Luz Gonzalez Avila. He graduated from the University of Mexico-Japon in Celaya, Gto. Mexico with a degree in mechanical engineering and worked for American Waste Control as their diesel mechanic. On December 27, 1997, he married Bertha Maria Gonzalez, a secretary for the mayor of the city Salvatierra, Gto. Mexico. On April 13, 2000, September 27, 2001, October 26, 2004, and February 7, 2008 he welcomed his beautiful children, who were the most important part of his life.

Jose was a devoted father, husband, and best companion to everyone most dear in his life. He enjoyed learning in his free time, spending time at lakes during the summer, and making people smile and laugh. He often spent the majority of his time bettering his skills on knowing how to repair trucks . He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was a spiritual catholic man, often teaching his children the importance of being grateful. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on February 25, 2022 at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel located on 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK 74145. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The rosary/prayer will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will conclude from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
