Jo Anna Washington

Jo Anna Washington, 37, of Tulsa, Oklahoma was born October 15, 1985 in Tulsa to Hugh Delmar Beaty, Jr. and Evelyn Eunice Conner Beaty. Jo Anna was baptize as a child at Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church and her love for Christ never faltered. Jo Anna graduated from Tulsa Greater Christian Academy in 2003 and furthered her education at Tulsa Community College receiving an associates degree in Science in 2013. In 2002 Jo Anna had her beautiful baby boy Darren Dewayne Beaty. As fate would have it, Jo Anna met her future husband in middle school, Stick Washington. They were blessed with Kiyeria LeeAnn Washington in 2012 and married in 2016.

Jo Anna loved her children and her family. She had a compassionate heart, a love for helping others and a smile that could light up a room. Jo Anna was in the medical field for several years, she worked at nursing facilities, hospitals and with hospice. Jo Anna loved being outside, she belonged on the beach, she loved to camp, and she loved it when it stormed. Jo Anna enjoyed life, lived for a thrill and was fearless. She loved going to her favorite park and feeding the ducks, watching Lifetime movies, haunted houses with Darren, getting dolled up by Kiyeria, holidays especially Halloween and Christmas, dancing, going out on the town, slow jams and her dog Lovely.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Stick Washington; her beautiful children, Darren Beaty and Kiyeria Washington; her devoted parents, H.D. and Evelyn Beaty; brother and family comedian, Jeremy Beaty (Jennifer); sister and partner in crime, Jennifer Beaty; nephews Aundre, Rutledge and Harrison Beaty, her lifelong sister and brother friends as well as a great host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation for Jo Anna Washington will be held 12:00pm-6:00pm, Sunday, March 5, 2023. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Monday, March 6, 2023 both at Schaudt's Funeral Service, 5757 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.
