Emmanuel Peter Leasiolagi

August 14, 1989 — July 13, 2023

Emmanuel Peter Leasiolagi, beloved father, brother and son was born August 14th, 1989, to Litia and John Leasiolagi in Elmira, NY. Departing to his eternal home on July 13, 2023, he is preceded in death by his brother, Shammah Kalepo Leasiolagi and his son Michael Stephen Leasiolagi. Emmanuel is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Laelle, son Toa, their fourth child expected in January of 2024, his father John, mother Litia, sisters - Fono, Yvonne and Atarah, and brothers - J.J., Moses, Simeon, Isaac, and Hebron.

Emmanuel spent his childhood in Elmira, NY where his parents attended and became elders at The Love Church. He attended school at Elmira Christian Academy.

In 2000, his father felt the call of God to take up a pastorate in Washington state. They sold everything and drove over 3,000 miles to Puyallup, WA to start a branch of The Love Church.

Growing up in a new environment, he thrived. He became the first Samoan to win the district spelling bee and placed first in the local Punt, Pass and Kick competition.

Although he basically skipped half of his senior year, by the grace of God Emmanuel graduated from Washington High School in 2008 and returned to Elmira, NY for an internship at Love Aflame! Worldwide Ministries. During that time, he strove to leave his old life behind and to draw closer to the Lord. He was passionate about serving and would participate in numerous gospel outreaches in his community and abroad, even joining a team of volunteers going to Haiti after the devastating earthquake in January 2010. Doing correspondence classwork through Chesapeak Bay Bible College and Seminary, he would go on to complete his coursework for a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry. Upon graduating from the internship, he went back home to Tacoma, WA.

In late 2010, he moved to Spokane, WA. He and his brother Moses were working at Watchman monitoring where he was the lead compliance officer. While working there, they also attended ministry training classes at Healing Waters School of Ministry under the tutelage of Bishop Stephen Moore. Emmanuel frequently said it was the most powerful ministry he had ever encountered, regularly seeing miraculous healings and being exposed to a full complement of prophetic giftings. He continued to develop and in 2017 received the credential of Licensed Minister.

Naturally strong since his youth, Emmanuel was known for his supernatural abilities to move weight in the gym and whatever heavy, odd objects people needed help with. While in Spokane, his friend and brother, Michael, took him to a body composition pod at Eastern Washington University. When the professor read the print-out that showed he had over 246lbs of lean muscle, she immediately asked him why he didn't play professional football. Ever a competitor, he did play semi-pro football for the Spokane Wolfpack and, although they lost the 2013 championship, Emmanuel's cheering section, particularly his mother, was the loudest and most enthusiastic, every game. Emmanuel also took up the sports of powerlifting and arm wrestling, as well as riding his motorcycle.

It was at a deadlifting competition in 2016 that Emmanuel met collegiate athlete, Elizabeth French. They continued to cross paths during training where Emmanuel kept his eye out for her until he asked her out later that year. On October 21, 2017, friends and family gathered to witness their unity in marriage. Their friendship and love for each other would continue to grow; some would say their marriage was the best they knew.

In June of 2021 after much prayer, Emmanuel and Elizabeth felt led of the Lord to move their family to Tulsa, OK to continue their support of Healing Waters and Bishop Moore.

Emmanuel had such a strong impact in our lives because he showed that he loved people. Almost never saying, "no" he would always lend a helping hand. No matter how great or difficult the task - he was willing to roll up his sleeves and get to work. He took great pride in being someone who could be counted on. Often, he would help family and friends by moving them, giving rides, fixing things, and cooking for them. Although his presence, strength, smile, warmth, and friendship will be missed dearly, we rejoice knowing that he has an abundant entrance into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
