Catherine Elizabeth Wishall

Catherine (Katie) Elizabeth (Payton) Wishall age 70 passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Katie was born in Hartford, Connecticut on January 1, 1941 to Thomas Payton and Catherine (Black) Payton. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School with the Class of 1959 and attended University of Tulsa. She married the love of her life, John Anthony Wishall on July 3, 1965 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Katie enjoyed her life as Mom and Grammy. Katie loved to travel and took bus trips with her friends. Her grandchildren and children were the center of her life. She was a very loving and protective mother and grandmother. Katie was of Catholic faith. Katie was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Catherine Payton. She is survived by her husband: John Wishall of Broken Arrow; her son: John Anthony Wishall of Norfolk, Virginia; her daughters: Amy Elizabeth Merrill of Mounds, Oklahoma; Jennifer Catherine Johnson of Katy, Texas; her nine loving grandchildren: John Ryan Wishall, Kyle James Wishall, Megan Elizabeth Merrill, Michael Dale Merrill, Morgan Rose Merrill, Maggie Abigail Merrill, James Alexander Johnson, John Paul Edward Johnson, Laura Rose Wishall, her sister: Maureen Payton along with other family members, friends and acquaintances.
