Carolyn Jewell Covey

Carolyn Jewell Covey a long time area resident of Grove, OK, attended Grove High School where she was Salutatorian in the class of 1952. She passed from this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, she was 80 years old at the time of her death.

Carolyn was born on October 15, 1934 to Bryan and Ruby Covey of Grove, OK. She worked as a bookkeeper, a caregiver for the elderly for many and also a checker for Farrier’s Grocery Store for over 30 years and was known and liked by many people. She loved crocheting, gardening and shopping. She also helped take care of her mother during her mother’s later years.

She is survived by her brother, Gary Covey of Grove and one sister, Sherry Seratt of Catoosa, OK, 5 nieces - Alyssa Overton, Sara Covey and Kamryn Covey, all of Grove, OK, Janet Cook of Willard, MO and Leza Perryman of Catoosa. She also had four great nieces and nephews - Garrett Cook of Omaha, NE, Hailey and Colton Perryman, both of Catoosa, OK and Alexis Overton of Grove.
