April Marie Ankeny

April Marie Ankeny, 56, passed away in peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2017 at home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She was born August 12, 1960 in Warren, Ohio to Joseph Henry Neely and Lois (Grayson) Nicholas. She attended College of Central Florida in Ocala, Florida and graduated with an Associates of Applied Science from the University of Madonna in Lavonia, Michigan. April and Mark were married on February 14, 2011 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
She was the proud owner of April's Salon. She loved going to the beach in Destin, Florida and collecting seashells. She especially loved riding the Harley Davidson with Mark; so much, that she learned to ride, and get her own bike. She was a much loved sister of B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse). She displayed loyalty, support and compassion for over 7 years to the organization, as a supporter. This year, she decided to become a full patch member. Her dedication and love of supporting the cause, will be greatly missed. She loved holidays with her family and was a devoted mother and wife. She made friends wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Henry Neely and Lois (Grayson) Nicholas; brother, Dan Neely.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Lemoin Ankeny of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; daughter, Leah Marie Neely Valentine of Bixby, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Landon David Rodgers and Halle Rhanne Valentine; siblings, David Neely, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Paul Barker of Ravenna, Ohio, Joe Neely of Phoenix, Arizona, Cindy Neely of Warren, Ohio, and Richard Neely of Campbell, Ohio; loyal companions, Buddy and Jake.
